Deputies Discover Marijuana Grow House While Responding To Break-In

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Authorities in south Sacramento are searching for suspects after an attempted burglary at a marijuana grow house early Wednesday morning.

A substantial amount of marijuana plants were discovered after people walked right up a driveway over here and busted the front door to get inside.

Inside the garage is where deputies found bags marijuana and pot plants.

According to the sheriff's department, neighbors heard some sort of banging and they called 911. That is when they discovered the door had been kicked in at the residence.

Deputies have no idea who did this because when they got here, no one was around. About 250 pot plants were found inside - worth an estimated $250,000, deputies say.

The plants will be destroyed as soon as they are all collected and logged for evidence, deputies say.
