Death Penalty Sought For Man Accused Of Murder And Sexual Assault Of Land Park Woman

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — Sacramento prosecutors are seeking the death penalty for a man accused of killing a woman in her Land Park home in 2021.

Troy Davis is accused of breaking into the home of 61-year-old Kate Tibbitts, sexually assaulting her, then killing her.

He then, allegedly, killed Tibbitts' dogs and set her home on fire.

Davis is being held without bail in the Sacramento County Jail.
