Sacramento Tattoo Shop Owner Arrested For Assault Weapons Possession
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — A convicted felon has been arrested, accused of having an arsenal of illegal assault weapons and thousands of rounds of ammunition.
Britton McFetridge, 37, is out on bail and is the owner of the Royal Peacock Tattoo Parlor in Midtown Sacramento.
The state attorney general says during a probation search of McFetridge's home Tuesday night they found eight unregistered assault weapons, 20,000 rounds of ammunition, and 100 large capacity magazines.
McFetridge is a convicted felon who was not even supposed to own a handgun.
McFetridge told CBS13 that he wasn't a terrorist, a gang member or a survivalist, but an entrepreneur.
"I can't talk anything about the case right now," he said.
He's owned his tattoo parlor for seven years now.
"We try to help out the community and do fundraisers and stuff," he said.
Investigators are saying the firearms had been illegally purchased in the last three to five years from private parties, and the magazines were purchased online illegally.
Because of his criminal past, he's concerned about his future.
"This whole thing is just really disappointing and really sad," he said. "I'm really concerned about my family."
