CHP: Fatal Crashes, DUI Arrests Up From Thanksgiving Holiday 2019
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - DUIs and fatal crashes during the Thanksgiving holiday are up over last year, according to the CHP.
On Friday, the CHP announced it has made 315 DUI arrests during what it calls the Thanksgiving Maximum Enforcement Period.
Twelve people have died in crashes in CHP's jurisdiction, they say. Of those 12 fatalities, four were not wearing seatbelts at the time.
They urge people to drive safely and wear seatbelts.
