UPDATE: Amber Alert Canceled; Suspect Reportedly Shot Dead

SAN JOSE (CBS13/AP) – A statewide Amber Alert has been canceled for an 11-year-old girl who authorities say was abducted from her San Jose home by her mother's ex-boyfriend.

Taylor Vo was found safe at an unspecified location at about 1:40 p.m. Friday and the suspect, 42-year-old Tri Le, was shot and killed by a SWAT team after he opened fire on them when they entered a residence where he was holding Vo, according to KGO Radio in San Francisco.

Taylor was kidnapped at gunpoint around 1:20 a.m. from a home in the 2600 block of Taffy Drive.

Police said Le forced his way into the residence and assaulted a family member before firing several shots inside the home.

No one inside the house was struck by the gunfire, police said.

Le then went into Taylor's bedroom and took her from the home at gunpoint.

Police said Le's criminal history included domestic violence and driving under the influence.
