6 Hurt At Bay Area Party Shooting
ANTIOCH (AP) — Police say six people — most of them teens — were hurt when gunfire broke out during a shooting at a "sweet sixteen" party in Antioch Saturday night.
Investigators say the shooting around 10:35 p.m. took place at a party that was being thrown by the parents of a 16-year-old girl.
Antioch police Lt. Scott Willerford told the San Francisco Chronicle that three or four boys, or young men, are believed to have begun shooting when two groups of people at the party became involved in an argument.
The wounded included a 13-year-old boy, two 16-year-old boys, two 18-year-old men and a 21-year-old woman.
Police say the nature of the injuries range from a minor grazing wound to an abdomen wound.
