UPDATE: 3 Roseville Elementary Students Injured After Train Derails At Bishop's Pumpkin Farm
WHEATLAND (CBS13) - Three children suffered minor injuries Tuesday while riding a miniature train at Bishop's Pumpkin Farm.
According to a farm spokesman, at around 11 a.m., one car carrying six children from Roseville's John Adams Academy jumped the tracks, sending three of those children to the hospital. One received stitches for a cut hand, while another was briefly knocked unconscious.
Cal OSHA says they are investigating the accident along with the pumpkin farm.
A farm spokeswoman said the train has been running for 22 years without an accident. The train undergoes inspections twice a year, the last on April 16, 2013.
