25 Baby Chicks Die In Orangevale Garage Fire
ORANGEVALE (CBS13) – More than two dozen baby chicks have died in a fire at an Orangevale home.
The fire broke out at a home on Granite Avenue near Hazel Avenue early Wednesday.
Fire fighters say a heat lamp being used to keep the 25 baby chicks warm inside a garage storage room overheated sparking the flames.
Three people inside the home were able to escape but the chicks did not survive.
No other information was immediately available.
