2 Arrested After Police Tear Down Homeless Protest Camp At City Hall
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Two men were arrested after police tore down a homeless protest camp in front of Sacramento City Hall Saturday morning.
Protestors and homeless activists have been occupying the area for weeks now.
A little before 8 a.m. Saturday, protest organizers James Clark and David Andre were arrested and charged with misdemeanor camping.
Several others were also arrested but were cited and released on the spot.
There have been about two dozen arrests since Sacramento police started to enforce a controversial city law that activists say unfairly targets the homeless.
