The Bear Fire, also known as the North Complex West Zone wildfire has now claimed 14 lives and seven people remain unaccounted for as of Sunday, according to authorities.
Authorities in Butte County announced Sunday that two more people have died in the North Complex wildfire, bringing California's total wildfire death toll to 24.
Search and rescue workers found three more bodies in the rubble of the North Complex Fire raising the death toll in that blaze to 12 and total deaths in the state's recent wildfires to 22.
"I don't expect there to be any sympathy from this administration. Are you kidding me?"
Lincoln police officers hauled a 350-pound bear the length of a football field, saving it from the flames of the Bear Fire in Butte County.
"We're all distraught and displaced. We need to stick together. That's what makes a community strong."
California's inmate firefighters will have a shot at becoming professional firefighters once they complete their sentences, under a bill Gov. Gavin Newsom signed into law on Friday.
