Nary is a victim of sexual exploitation, who is now receiving help. She grew up in a boat community in rural Cambodia, fishing and begging from visiting tourists. She suffered from incest and molestation from her father and other men in her community. Since arriving at a safe-home, she is now in the second grade and says she would like to learn English.

Serey went to work in a brothel when her parents forced her to earn money and she had no other skills. "I remember, during those times, my family was very, very poor. I had to find money for my family," says Serey. In the brothel she was brutally raped and ended up in the hospital where she was rescued. Serey is now learning new skills at a Cambodian safe-home.
Over one million Cambodian children are child laborers. Nine-year-old Maly was one of them. She worked six to seven hours a day collecting garbage on the streets of Phnom Penh. Exploited children like Maly are likely to end up working in the sex trade, but with the help of a community based group, she is now getting an education.
