Davis concedes the election, Oct. 7, 2003. "Tonight, the voters decided it's time for someone else to serve," Davis said, his words interrupted by supporters booing at his concession and chanting "We want Gray" in support. Davis smiled, and as the chanting subsided, continued, saying of the state's voters, "I accept their judgment."
