Study: Porn Has Small Effect On Sexual Behavior

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A new study has found that the use of porn has little to do with sexual behavior.

According to Health Day, the study found that only 0.3-4 percent of sexual behaviors could be credited to pornography.

The study surveyed 4,600 people in the Netherlands between the ages of 15 and 25 and asked questions about how much and what kind of porn they used, what kind of adventurous sexual experiences they had, how many partners they had and if they paid for sex, among other questions.

Gert Martin Hald, a clinical psychologist at the University of Copenhagen in Denmark, told Health Day that porn is not the big, bad wolf everyone thought it was; it only explains a modest portion of sexual behavior.
