Husband, Wife And School Official Cited For Bizarre Incidents At Pa. Bar
AMBRIDGE, Pa. (AP) — A Junior ROTC instructor at a western Pennsylvania high school was cited for public drunkenness after arguing with the local school board president at a bar — after an earlier incident in which his wife was charged with breaking a beer mug over his head at the same establishment.
Ambridge police Chief James Mann says the instructor, Carl Curtis, was also cited for public drunkenness later that same Sunday morning when he arrived at the school intoxicated to drive some ROTC students to a competition.
The Associated Press could not locate a listed phone number for Curtis or his wife, Kathleen, who was charged with simple assault and reckless endangerment for the incident about 1 a.m. at the Ambridge American Legion.
The school district's superintendent didn't immediately respond to requests for comment Monday.
