Philly Native Tierra Whack Stuns On Grammys Red Carpet With Colorful Dress By Local Designer

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Before the Grammys, the stars shined bright on the red carpet. Singers like Cardi B, Lady Gaga and Jennifer Lopez turned heads with their one of a kind looks. But a Philadelphia native was also a hit on the red carpet. Tierra Whack's colorful dress was one of the most talked about dresses of the night.
We talked with the designer, Nancy Beringer, who's also from Philly, about what inspired the outfit.
"The dress actually - if you can't really see it - has a lot of layers and movements so as she moves the image changes. It really represents her creativity, as well as my creativity," said Beringer.
Beringer said she was piecing the dress together up until the last-minute, finally finishing it in her hotel room on Saturday.
