PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --- For only a short time each year, the Eagles take a backseat to our other professional sports teams. A true four-for-four sports town, Philadelphia has begun focusing on their winter teams, as the NHL and NBA Playoffs wind down.
Let's take a look at who's at the top of the proverbial Philadelphia sports mountain today.
3. Maikel Franco
Franco, the third-base 22-year-old Phillies prospect, has been denoted as a franchise savoir and so far, he has come through. Franco is 7-20 (.350) with a double, triple, home run, and five RBI's in his first five Major League games this year.
2. Ron Hextall
The Flyers general manager continued his unconventional, new-school philosophy in hiring former University of North Dakota's Dave Hakstol to be the Flyers' new head coach.
People are quickly becoming believers in Hexy.
1. Sam Hinkie
With the NBA draft lottery in the books and the Sixers acquiring the third overall pick for the second straight year, fans are starting to see Hinkie's plan unfold.
