Few Trains Today On SEPTA's Norristown Line

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- After suspending service earlier today on its Norristown Regional Rail line, SEPTA says service on that line will be extremely limited for the rest of the day -- including for the homebound rush hour period.

Overhead power line trouble prompted the initial suspension of service.  And getting those wires back in service was forcing SEPTA to cut back the Norristown line's schedule for the remainder of the day, at least.

SEPTA issued the following schedule for Thursday afternoon:

Outbound (Center City to Norristown Transportation Center & Elm Street)

Train #6244: Departs 30th St – 3:57 p.m.
Train #7250: Departs 30th St – 5:12 p.m.
Train #3256: Departs 30th St – 6:01 p.m.
Train #268:  Departs 30th Street – 7:36 p.m.
Train #272:  Departs 30th Street – 9:37 p.m.
Train #276:  Departs 30th Street – 11:33 p.m.

Inbound (Norristown Transportation Center & Elm Street to Center City)

Train #2843: Departs Elm St – 5:03 p.m.
Train #6271: Departs Elm St– 7:12 p.m.
Train #275: Departs Elm St – 8:47 p.m.
Train #279:  Departs Elm St – 10:47 p.m.
Train #6281:  Bus substitution. Scheduled departure from Elm St – 11:36 p.m.
