Baby Boomers Targeted By Anti-Aging Industry
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Looking young is big business when it comes to baby boomers. However, the search for a fountain of youth can be futile and can cost you a small fortune.
It is being called an $80-$120 billion industry. That's in the next three years alone. Baby boomers, who want to stay young. It is becoming a national obsession. Many baby boomers grew up with the concept that staying young and looking young is the way to be.
Now, people are marketing it to this generation. Is this a good thing? Well certainly there are positive aspects; exercise, diet, proper nutrition. They are all important and they should be stressed.
But many of these miracle cures, hormonal replacement therapies and surgical procedures, they are potentially harmful. Let the buyer beware.
