Among The Mayoral Also-Rans, Pride in Well Fought Campaigns
By Paul Kurtz
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The long shot campaigns of Nelson Diaz, Milton Street, and Doug Oliver came to a quick end on Tuesday night.
During the campaign, the polls consistently showed Diaz, Street, and Oliver in single digits. And so it was when the returns came in -- the predictions were right on target.
Still, Oliver says, he has no regrets.
"So I sit here on Tuesday, May 19th, at whatever time it is, and I'm surrounded by you guys, and I don't care what the polls say. This is a win. This is a win for Philadelphia."
Diaz, who called for reforms in educations and city wage taxes, says he hopes some of his ideas will be folded into the Kenney campaign.
