The Iraq Study Group got about $1million in tax funds (thru Congress). This paid for their trip to Iraq, other travel, clerical stuff, etc. The United States Institute of Peacesays the members of the Iraq Study Group (5 Dems and 5 Reps) were not paid for their work.
The United States Institute of Peace is a Congressionally-funded peace group that facilitated the Iraq Study Group.
