What Was Wrong With Angelina?
As all celebrity watchers recover from examining every actress's hair, makeup and gown, one question persists: was Angelina Jolie unhappy at the Golden Globes Monday night? What was going on with the death stare on her face? Why didn't she talk?
The incident that raised all the eyebrows came when E! talk show host, Ryan Seacrest interviewed Jolie and Brad Pitt, whose movie "Babel" won the Golden Globe for best picture. Seacrest started out by asking Jolie how she prepared for the award ceremony. She laughed looked away and allowed Pitt to do the talking.
"It's morning with the kids, who gets up first," Pitt said.
Seacrest asked if she cooks a breakfast of bacon and eggs, she responded, "Cereal, yeah."
"You focus on your life and your family and you live your life," she said.
Seacrest asked how big the family — which now consists of three children — will eventually be, prompting a glower from Jolie. Pitt responded that they want to have their own soccer team to play for their own country so they can dominate the World Cup.
Despite all that, Jolie made $12 million for wearing her gray St. John's gown. But on Sunday The New York Post's "Page Six" reported that Jolie didn't like the dresses that St. John presented her. She is contractually obligated to wear their looks on the red carpet.
Only the announcement that "Babel" won for best picture seemed to prompt a genuine smile.
