What to expect at E3 2011
(CBS/AP) LOS ANGELES - Wondering what the new Wii will look like?
The wait won't be much longer - as the annual Electronic Entertainment Expo gets under way in Los Angeles.
Nintendo is expected to unveil its new gaming system at E3 - just about six years after it dropped hints about the Wii.
The company is being quiet about what the new system will feature. But gamers expect it will include features like high-definition graphics and touchscreen controllers.
Sony is expected to be another major player at E3, even as it tries to put its massive security breach in its rearview mirror.
It plans to introduce several new PS3 titles and show off details of its new portable gaming system.
Following last year's flashy Cirque du Soleil production to introduce Kinect, the motion-sensing camera system for Xbox 360, Microsoft Corp. will likely adopt a different tactic than Nintendo and Sony and keep the focus on new games instead of new devices.
The gaming industry's current champion hasn't announced any plans to debut a new console.
