Welcome to the New BNET

If you've been a long-time BNET user, you might have noticed a few changes. Actually, you've probably noticed a lot of changes, because we've rebuilt BNET from the ground up. And if you're a first time visitor, we're glad to have you aboard. Either way, we hope you'll like what you see.

BNET was created with a simple goal in mind: to provide working professionals with the tools, advice, and insight they need to succeed in today's workplace. BNET isn't for those who merely punch the clock each day from 9 to 5. Instead, it's for people who are committed to nurturing their own excellence, who believe in the meaning of work, and who know that a fulfilling career is an excellent way to make personal ambitions come true.

Is that corny? Maybe a little bit. Yet after we spoke with hundreds of managers and professionals around the country, one fact became very clear: Until now, it's been extremely difficult to find advice that speaks directly to the challenges you face at work every day -- the kind of problems that have little to do with the skills you learned in school. We know that it's hard to find field-tested tips on managing teams and interpersonal relationships. We know that it's not easy to find guidance on strategy, or techniques for improving your personal productivity, or wisdom on how to make your career as successful as it can be.

The new BNET is designed to help you solve all these problems by providing action-oriented intelligence that's smart, useful, inspiring, and always right at your fingertips. Just remember that what you're seeing now is only the beginning. We've just moved in to this spiffy new website, which means the lights are on and the network is humming, but you may still hear some hammering and nailing off in the distance. Likewise, the walls are still a little bare, there's not yet much furniture to fill the space, and we've got lots more work to do in the weeks and months ahead.  In the meantime, feel free to go on a self-guided tour, or you can start with this quick introduction. And of course, we'd love to hear from you.  We built this site with your needs in mind, so send us your comments, complaints, suggestions, and/or songs of praise.

We're so glad to have you with us.
