Vivica A. Fox is Engaged

NEW YORK (CBS) Vivica A. Fox is another star who got engaged this past holiday season.

The actress, who starred in the reality show "The Cougar," is engaged to Atlanta club promoter Omar "Slim" White.

"We did get engaged on Dec. 26," Fox told People magazine on Tuesday. "And we are very happy!"

White, 27, presented Fox, 46, with an eight-carat diamond ring, according to the report.

"She is over the moon - so excited, so in love," a source close to Fox told the magazine. "She got the ring while they were staying at Ritz-Carlton, South Beach, over the holidays."

The two have been dating for more than a year, and the source tells People they want to start a family together.

"They are both eager to start their lives together and have a family," the source said. "She is so excited; it is heartwarming to be around her."

This will be Fox's second marriage. She and singer Christopher Harvest divorced in 2002.
