Use Anagram to Save Contact Info
If you use Microsoft Outlook to manage your contacts, you've probably spent a lot of time manually transferring names, companies, and phone numbers into the fields provided. It's a drag, and it usually means that you're willing folks on the margins slide by without collecting their vitals. (Unless they use that V-card thing, which I still haven't figured out.)
If you're tired of constantly losing people's digits, it might be worth investing $30 in Anagram, a nifty little download that allows you to highlight relevant contact information (presented in whatever order or format) and save it to your Contacts folder with one click. (Anagram also lets you do the same thing with appointments and tasks, but that seems to require more cleanup.) Anagram has been around for a whileZDNet's Marc Orchant sang its praises more than a year agobut its most recent versions allow you to copy contact info from anywhere on your PC (the web, Word files, IMs, etc.) and easily transfer them to your Outlook Rolodex. Anagram also has the good sense to let you try out its service for free, for 45 days.
