Travel Horror Stories: Planes, Trains and Automobiles

Hundreds of thousands of business travels are stranded in Europe today, due to a volcano in Iceland. Not only are the planes grounded, but ground transport is now overloaded to the point where finding a ticket is nearly impossible. There's no question in my mind that many of these travelers are experiencing what will soon become their favorite "travel horror stories."

Needless to say, outside sales reps (aka road warriors) often have the best (or, rather, worst) travel stories, simply because they travel more than anybody else. Therefore, I thought it might be fun to ask you guys to share the worst experience you've ever had while on the road.
