Swishering Into Summer

As a lot of you know, I was a sportscaster for 20 years before coming to The Early Show. When people ask me what my favorite events were to cover, I usually say the Olympics and the World Series. There's nothing like post-season baseball!

I really enjoyed visiting with fan favorite Nick Swisher of the Oakland A's, who chatted with us on the plaza about cutting his trademark long locks to promote Pantene Beautiful Lengths, which makes wigs for cancer patients.

Swisher's grandmother suffered from cancer and he's very sensitive to the plight, particularly of women who lose their hair because of chemotherapy.
This is just some of the charity work that he does.

Personally, I think his short "do" looks great!
