Survivor: Cook Islands

Wow, what a night on "Survivor"!

The African-American tribe starts out having tons of trouble getting a fire. It's been two days with no fire and water and that really wears on you. The girls — girl power — ended up starting the fire themselves and they rejoice as a tribe.

The Latino tribe seems to be doing really well. They are catching lots of fish, crabs, clams, etc. Well, everyone is catching fish except heavy metal rocker Billy who seems to be doing really nothing at all around camp. All of his laziness makes Ozzy and JP want to throw the next challenge to get rid of him. Ozzy has emerged as a bossy leader, but he seems to know what he is talking about. His idea for a chicken trap works well and they have a chicken dinner on their plate tonight.

The Asian-American tribe seems to be putting Cao Bois knowledge to use and Jenny goes to him to release her headache. But some tribe remembers are finding his Asian jokes offensive. Let's hope he can keep his mouth shut some of the time, or I have a feeling he is getting booted. Yul makes a great box chicken trap that catches two chickens at once, chicken dinner for them, too! Yul and Becky seem to be forming a friendship that is beyond friendly!

The white tribe, which is truly pathetic in my opinion, has no bed or floor yet on their shelter, and Adam seems to throw a hissy fit at the thought of working on the shelter. I have to ask what is wrong with this tribe. And I love karma because their tribe stole chickens — Jonathan stole them from the Asian tribe — and now the Asian tribe has chickens and they have none! HAHAHA!

The challenge today is another reward and immunity. The first three tribes to finish get immunity and the first tribe to cross the finish line gets tarps as their reward.

The challenge goes likes this: Jeff reads them a short story about the expeditions of Captain Cook. Then the tribe will move through a course tied together gathering answers, then they will use those answer pieces to answer five questions about the story.

Got it, good!

It was so embarrassing to see the Latino tribe dragging ass so bad and purposely losing the challenge, it was almost as embarrassing as the fact that even trying to lose, the Latino tribe almost caught up with the African-American tribe that came in last place.

It was literally a photo finish between the Asian tribe and the white tribe so they both win and both get tarps. Going to tribal council tonight as they planned is the Latino tribe. The Latino tribe exiles Yul because they say he is the strongest. Billy tells Candice in the white tribe that he is next to go at tribal council and they share and exchange, with Billy telling Candice, "I love you," and Candice telling Billy, "We love you." It was weird.

Billy obviously figured out that they threw the challenge and tries to get Cristina to vote off Ozzy.

Tribal council gets really heated. JP and Billy get into a verbal sparring match about being lazy and throwing challenges. Then Billy drops the bomb and says he is in love, he said it was love at first sight with Candice at the challenge today! Is this guy nuts? If he had any chance of not getting voted out, it's out the window now.

He gets the boot unanimously and I hope he goes home and rethinks this whole love thing. I'm going to ask him about it for sure on "Survivor Live" today at 2 p.m. eastern on CBS.com.
