Survivor: Cook Islands

Things are getting heated on "Survivor" and it only gets better and better. I love this season!

And, like I expected, the action never stops. Parvarti starts us off with a bang by chopping into her finger with the machete. She manages to stay extremely cool while Ado, the best doctor in the world, tends to her finger that looks really ugly. She actually managed to cut her fingernail and almost her finger in half. They give her some local anesthesia right there and stitch up the side. Brave her! Grossed me out so props to her for being a tough cookie.

OK, after that, off to reward challenge. The survivors must transfer water into a bucket. The one who raises their bucket first wins a picnic (they LOVE picnics this year) with their family members (yeah, I love the family visits), and of course they get to exile someone. Like I always say, the family visits still tear me up because it reminds me of when my dad visited and that was one of the best experiences of my life. We got to share it together — priceless stuff.

There is a twist though. Their family members will help them on the challenge because the survivor will be blindfolded. I was starting to think this challenge may take forever because of how little water was getting exchanged between the survivors and their loved ones.

Parvarti wins and throws her bucket in excitement. She, of course, exiles Jonathan, which is no surprise after their exchange of words the last couple weeks. Another surprise is she can pick two other survivors and loved ones but her dad has to decide! He picks Sundra and her mom, and Adam and his dad. Good challenge, good reward.

Before the survivors and their family members go on their reward they get to take a visit back to camp. Ozzy seems a little annoyed having his competitors' family members at camp, so bitterness may be setting in for him and Becky and Yul. Ozzy makes the suggestion that they should hide the food instead of "feeding the enemy" who are Adam and Parvarti. Yul and Becky agree, so operation starve the enemy is in place. A dirty tactic but a GREAT ONE! Have I mentioned I love this season yet? But when the "enemies" got back they also brought back food for everyone else, so I think Ozzy felt bad and the hiding food plan was put on hold for a bit.

Immunity time, the most important thing you can win. In this challenge the survivors must go over an obstacle course over the water, they must retrieve sticks on the obstacle course, then they must use those sticks to make a long pole to retrieve two rings, first one to get both wins.

First, let me say Ozzy is an animal. This guy is ripping through the obstacle course, he is going to be a force to be reckoned with. And watching people bite it all over this challenge is hilarious — might be one of my favorites because of that. Sundra took a major digger that was so bad it made me rewind my TiVo. It comes down to Ozzy and Yul (shock there) for the immunity. Ozzy pulls it off and wins immunity.

Back at camp, Jonathan is getting the big cold shoulder from everyone — even Yul, Becky and Sundra. Adam is working Yul as much as possible to let it not be him tonight.

Tribal council time … Jonathan gets killed again at tribal council by everyone, it's really getting old. Yul goes out on a limb and tells everyone he has the power and the idol. Hmmmm, interesting. After some dramatic voting and facial expressions, Jonathan is voted out. Real dumb move in my opinion. He should have been going to the final two. We will see how that plays out.
