Students Reliving Recent History
This year, students going back to school will have another anxiety to conquer. The anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks can complicate a difficult time of year.
Anxiety over the anniversary of the attacks may be masked by the usual back to school jitters. Dr. Susan Sylvia, a clinical psychologist from the St. Louis Children's Hospital at the Washington University Medical Center, urges parents to talk with their children about their fears, both about school, and the terrorist attacks.
