Stop Chasing Customers. Sort Out The Cash!

In this interview, I catch up with Rhondalynn Korolak, author of Financial Foreplay who feels strongly that small business spends far too much time chasing work.

So what should we be doing?

Well, instead of sales and marketing she tell us, our focus would be better directed towards financial management.

Starting with the basics of an understanding of a profit and loss account and a firm grasp of cashflow, Rhondalynn estimates that over 95% of SMEs need to get to grips with their finances.

It's only when we understand the dollars and have good financial control that we should pursue customers and potentially spend money on advertising and marketing.

If you're getting hot under the collar just reading these words, best you check out the interview here.
