The Adirondack Sports Complex near the southern edge of the Adirondacks in Queensbury, N.Y., was unoccupied when part of the dome gave way late Sunday. About half of the complex, which is used for soccer, lacrosse, baseball and other sports, was deflated.
The dome's steel frame is covered with vinyl-coated polyester. The steel frame seemed to have collapsed, while the covering was mostly intact.
