Spears Reportedly Released From Hospital
There's a report that Britney Spears has been released from a Los Angeles hospital.
The troubled young entertainer was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center by paramedics Thursday night after police were called to her home because of a custody dispute with ex-husband Kevin Federline over their two young sons.
The report that she's been released comes from TV's "Dr. Phil" by way of the syndicated programs "Entertainment Tonight" and "The Insider." In a news release, he says he met with her yesterday as she was preparing to leave. And he says he's convinced she's "in dire need of both medical and psychological intervention."
Cedars-Sinai has had no comment. And Los Angeles authorities have yet to provide a full explanation of why Spears was hospitalized.
McGraw says he'll have more to say about her on his syndicated TV show this week. McGraw is not a medical doctor, who would presumably be bound by patient confidentiality. His Web site says he has a Ph.D. in clinical psychology.
