(CBS) - Wait for it...and the Skype iPad app is back online after being released to the public, then quickly pulled yesterday.

Skype posted this statement via Twitter just moments ago, "Finally, Skype for iPad is now available," with a link to a blog post touting all of the bells and whistles that are available for video chat enthusiasts.

Head of product management Rick Osterloh pointed out the benefits and features of a Skype iPad app, "because it is on the iPad, Skype video calls can be made at the beach, in a car or even lying on a couch." He added, "The new Skype for iPad app also takes full advantage of the iPad 2's dual cameras, allowing users to talk face-to-face with the iPad's front camera or switch to the rear camera to show what they can see."

The popular communications service pulled their iPad app only hours after releasing it to the public yesterday.

"To ensure your best Skype experience, we've temporarily removed Skype for iPad which went live prematurely today," Skype said on its Twitter feed late last night. "We know you've been eagerly awaiting Skype for iPad and apologize for the inconvenience."
