Singer Melinda Gets The Boot

No more divisions based solely on age and sex — the Survivors were regrouped into two tribes, La Mina and Casaya, on tonight's episode of "Survivor: Panama — Exile Island."

They then went to their next challenge, involving an under sea chest.

And after only six days on the island, one contestant is ready to call it quits. Two contestants feel vulnerable, and all the others scurry to and from alliances.

Casaya, with their boat leaking, lost the challenge, and voted out Melinda Hyder, the 32-year-old singer from Sevierville, Tennessee.

Logic would have it that Casaya would be one player down — but there's a catch. Bruce Kanegai, the 58-year-old Karate instructor, spent three nights on Exile Island. He came back to the Tribal Council, and took Hyder's place when she got the boot.

On last week's episode, it was Tina Scheer, the lumberjack, who got the boot.

Perceived as the most outspoken in her tribe, Tina met her demise at Tribal Council when she questioned others' work ethic.

After seeing her torch extinguished, Tina delivers her final words: "I think the girls made a huge mistake voting me out. I hope they do terribly. I have no regrets. I was just with the wrong girls."

Hear from castoff Melinda, Friday morning on The Early Show.
