Send Large Files with DilbertFiles
The new DilbertFiles service enables you to send files that are too large for e-mail. If you're wondering about the name -- yes, it's that Dilbert. If you're wondering about the service -- yes, it's the same capability offered by GigaSize, YouSendIt, and countless others.
Alas, while those services give you the basics free of charge, DilbertFiles charges you right from the get-go. Personal plans start at $9.95 per month, which gives you 250MB of file-sending bandwidth and 1GB of online storage. Business plans start at $37.95 monthly.
Needless to say, you're paying for the Dilbert brand, and let's face it: It ain't worth 10 bucks a month. On the plus side, you can upload your files using a browser or a plug-in for Outlook, Outlook Express, or Windows Mail. But even so, there should be a freebie tier so people can try the service. Dilbert's boss may not agree, but I suspect Dilbert himself would insist on it.
Thus, I can't recommend DilbertFiles. But as a longtime fan of the comic, I couldn't help but post about it. [via Digital Inspiration]
