Send Files to Your Phone with Beam It Up Scotty
We've talked about lots of ways to send files from one computer to another (YouSendIt remains my personal favorite), but these services don't help you transfer files to your cell phone. For that, look to Beam It Up Scotty, which saves you the hassle of having to buy a compatible cable for you phone, connect it to your PC, and pull your hair out trying to figure out how to transfer files.
Instead, you just browse your hard drive for the file you want to send, choose a compression setting (either "optimized for mobile devices," which is useful for photos and the like, or "no compression"), and enter your cell number. In a flash you'll receive a text message with a link for downloading the file. Fast, easy, ingenious. [via Web Worker Daily]
