Second Cup Cafe: Pat Monahan
Pat Monahan, the lead singer of the Grammy-winning, multi-platinum rock group Train, goes solo on his new CD, "The Last of Seven," a reference to his birth order.
He showcases the album, a mix of soulful rock and ballads, on our Second Cup Cafe stage.
Born in Erie, Pa., in 1969, Monahan was part of a Led Zeppelin cover band before he formed Train with his friend Rob Hotchkiss in 1994.
The group has had three top 10 albums, with such hit songs as "Drops of Jupiter (Tell Me)."
Prior to the debut of Monahan's solo album, its first single, "Her Eyes," was released in July.
