Rosie O'Donnell's Impromptu Giveaway
Rosie O'Donnell's gift of a cruise to every member of the studio audience of "The View" Friday, was a complete surprise to everybody, an insider at the show tells The ShowBuzz.
It all started when O'Donnell awarded a cruise package to a viewer as part of the show's daily giveaway.
"She felt bad when the audience groaned that they weren't getting a cruise, (too)," the source said.
When O'Donnell decided everyone in the audience should also get a cruise, "the production team had to scramble to get pens, pencils, and organize getting the audience's info at the last minute."Photos: Rosie O'Donnell
The cruise comes courtesy of the gay-friendly R Family Vacations, run by O'Donnell's partner, Kelli O'Donnell.
"My wife's going to kill me for this," the "View" co-host said.
Audience members were offered a choice of the February or July cruises. The cruise is all-inclusive except for alcohol and airfare, the source said.
