Rolling Stones to publish photo book on 50th anniversary
(CBS News) On the 50th anniversary of the first time it took the stage, the Rolling Stones will publish a book that documents through photos the band's rise to fame.
"The Rolling Stones: 50" is scheduled to come out on July 12, 2012, exactly 50 years to the day when the band debuted at the Marquee Club in London's Oxford Street, according to Reuters.

"This is our story of 50 fantastic years," lead singer Mick Jagger, guitarist Keith Richards, bass player Ronnie Wood and drummer Charlie Watts said in a joint statement."Curated by us, it features the very best photographs and ephemera from and beyond our archives."
The new book, published by Thames & Hudson in Britain, will feature 700 illustrations, many taken from the archive of the Daily Mirror tabloid, which contains the largest newspaper collection of Rolling Stones photography.
Many fans of the group are hoping for a world tour as the band celebrates its special anniversary. Though, some members of the group have said a tour is likely, there has been no official announcement and questions still remain about the relationship between Jagger and Richards, after some say Richards portrayed Jagger in an unflattering light in his 2010 memoir "Life."
The 352-page hardback edition of "The Rolling Stones: 50" will retail at $48 in Britain.
