''Revenge'' does well in ratings for ABC
(CBS)"Revenge," ABC's new Hamptons-set soap opera, had a solid second week, drawing 8.6 million viewers overall.
This represents an 18 percent drop from its premiere Sept. 21, when it had a significantly stronger lead-in (an hour of the Emmy-winning "Modern Family").
However, it appears to be attracting twice as many viewers as "The Whole Truth" did in that time slot last year. "Revenge" came in second to "CSI" on CBS, which had 11.6 million viewers overall, down just slightly from last week. "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" came in third with 7.1 million viewers.
Fox's two-hour ''The X Factor'' won the night among young adults and had a total of 11.5 million viewers
"Revenge" followed two hours of comedy: "The Middle" (8.6 millions viewers), the series debut of "Subugatory" (9.8 million), "Modern Family" (13.2 million) and "Happy Endngs" (7.4 million).
For CBS, ''Survivor: South Pacific'' drew 10.5 million viewers, down just a bit from last week and "Criminal Minds'' drew 12.6 million viewers.
Earlier in the evening, NBC drew 5.3 million for ''Up All Night,'' 3.1 million for "Free Agents" and 7.4 million for "Harry's Law."
