Raise Your Glass, Learn Your Personality
Could how you hold your glass tell you something about who you are?
A new study by Dr. Glenn Wilson, a consultant psychologist at King's College in London, says "yes."
Wilson studied the body language of 500 drinkers during his research for Walkabout Bars, then separated them into eight personality types based on how drinkers hold their glass: "The Flirt," "The Gossip," "The Fun Lover," "The Wallflower," "The Ice-Queen," "The Playboy," "Jack-The-Lad," and "The Browbeater."
On The Early Show Wednesday, the anchors learned their personality types, too.
Early Show co-anchor Harry Smith observed his fellow anchors' glass holding and said co-anchor Maggie Rodriguez is considered "The Flirt," while in Los Angeles co-anchor Julie Chen was described as "The Fun-Lover." Early Show weather anchor and features reporter Dave Price, Smith said, is "The Playboy" type. And Early Show news anchor Russ Mitchell was described as "The Flirt" type, too.
