Poll: Will You Buy a Nook?

Last Updated Oct 29, 2009 5:41 PM EDT

Don't look now, but the Kindle just got its butt kicked. The new Barnes & Noble Nook matches the Kindle 2's $259 price tag but offers such amenities as a color touchscreen (in addition to its main e-ink screen), Wi-Fi, book lending, PDF support, and a memory-expansion slot.

Gizmodo has a pretty exhaustive roundup of Nook coverage, including photos, videos, and some hands-on lovin'. Verdict: They like it!

Over to you: Think you'll buy one? After all, most Kindle owners think the device is the greatest thing since sliced bread, and the Nook appears to best it at every turn. Vote in our poll and/or share your thoughts in the comments.

Personally, I'm still waiting for these gizmos to drop below the $200 mark and e-book prices to get more realistic. In the meantime, I'm perfectly happy reading e-books on my iPhone.
