Police: Woman lied to cops to rob their homes

SALT LAKE CITY - A 24-year-old Utah woman is accused of burglarizing a police officer's home after asking to use the bathroom to gain access, reports CBS affiliate KUTV.

Brianne Dangerfield allegedly asked the officer to use the bathroom at the home and stole money while inside.

The officer-homeowner reportedly called police colleagues and a patrol officer arrived just as Dangerfield was leaving. She was stopped, cited and released.

However, about 30 minutes later, police received another call regarding Dangerfield, reports KUTV.

This time, she had reportedly knocked on the front door of a police sergeant’s home to use the bathroom. The sergeant handcuffed her after he allegedly found her rummaging through his belongings.

Once in custody, officials say they discovered that in-between the two home burglaries, Dangerfield had burglarized at least two cars, reports the station.

She was booked into the Utah County Jail on burglary charges.
