Police: Person Shot In Hand On Tenn. Campus

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (AP) - Middle Tennessee State University police say a person was shot in the hand on campus, and officers are looking for a suspect.

The incident occurred about noon Monday at the university in Murfreesboro.

MTSU Police Lt. Jim Fangey says city police are helping search the aerospace building where the shooting happened.

Fangey said the victim chased the shooter after being wounded.

A campus alert was issued, telling students and staff to remain where they are.
