Pitt: 'Ocean's Twelve' Full Of Fun
Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Matt Damon, Julia Roberts - they're just some of the superstars in the new film, "Ocean's Twelve."
The Early Show contributer and People magazine senior editor Jess Cagle says the "Ocean's Eleven" gang reunites to pull off a heist of priceless papers and hot antiques.
But Cagle says what really leaped out when he spoke with Pitt and fellow cast member Don Cheadle is that the "A-listers" on-screen are also "best buddies" off-camera.
In fact, Pitt and Cheadle insisted on sitting down together for Cagle's interview. "And while I was there to work," Cagle reports, "they came to play." This was, he says, typical.
It was tough for Cagle to get a straight answer out of Pitt and Cheadle.
Asked by Cagle what he needed to know going into "Ocena's Twelve," Pitt responded, chuckling, "I don't have a clue. I wasn't actually aware that we were shooting a film."
A Cagle query about what it was like working with Oscar-winning director Steven Soderbergh produced an exchange of quips between Pitt and Cheadle:
Pitt: That's the director?
Cheadle: He directed it, Steven Soderbergh.
Pitt: He's behind the camera?
Cheadle: Right, he was the one.
Pitt: I liked him. I did.
Pitt and Cheadle wouldn't even get serious when Cagle asked about Pitt's marriage to Jennifer Aniston.
Cagle: Brad, are you involved with anyone right now?
Pitt: Currently, I am. I don't like to talk about it. We're trying to keep it a secret.
Cheadle: As far as the Jennifer thing goes, I hear she's very happy with her mate. He's a very responsible individual (Pitt laughs) and does a lot more cleaning than you would imagine from the articles. (Brad laughs some more.)
"The only thing I could get out of them," Cagle lamented, "is they said 'Oceans Twelve' is a funnier than 'Oceans Eleven.' I think the reason they think that is there are so many "in-jokes" among the actors, who've become such good friends now.
"For example," Cagle concluded, "people always think George Clooney is a lot older than he really is, so there is a joke about that in the movie."
