Paris Hilton Interview Gets Cold Shoulder From Piers Morgan
LONDON (CBS) Has Paris Hilton been snubbed by Piers Morgan, the man who will replace Larry King on CNN this winter?
A well-placed source on Morgan's British TV show says the celebutante, whose passport lists her occupation as an entertainer, was in talks to appear on Morgan's "Piers Morgan Life Stories" in the UK.

This would have been a big coup for Hilton, who is not generally well-known in Great Britain. Morgan, on the other hand, could hardly expect a ratings boost with a relative unknown reality TV star.
But since the talks started, Morgan was named to replace King and Hilton pleaded guilty to a drug charge in Las Vegas, which led to her being barred from entering Japan, where she had some endorsement engagements.
Hilton was arrested in Las Vegas in August after an officer found a small amount of cocaine in her purse. In a plea deal, she pleaded guilty to drug possession and obstructing an officer and was sentenced to a year of probation, a $2,000 fine and completion of a substance-abuse program.
After being detained at the airport in Tokyo, Hilton flew home and canceled her promotional tour, which was taking her to several other countries, including Indonesia and Malaysia.
Now, Hilton is even more eager to be interviewed by a British talk show host; she wants to get her story out and, sources say, she believes a British interviewer will give her an easier time than interviewers in the U.S.
However, Morgan doesn't appear to be answering the phone.
