—Hasbro and Discovery (NSDQ: DISAB) Communications: Margaret Loesch will be the president and CEO of the yet-to-be-named children’s network these two companies have joined to create. Loesch comes from The Hatchery, and before that, was President and CEO title at the Hallmark Channel.
—ADTECH AG: Lou Severine will become the head of sales for ADTECHs U.S. operations. Severine was Director of Sales at Microsoft (NSDQ: MSFT) Advertising. He’ll be taking over the job from Dirk Freytag, the company’s CEO who had been heading the U.S. division of the business since it opened up in 2007.
—Adtuitive: The online contextual advertising platform has named Dominic Schmitt, one of the founding employees of behavioral ad targeting firm TACODA, VP of Business Development. Prior to joining Adtuitive, Schmitt was the General Manager of Tennis.com.
—Wall Street Journal: The Wall Street Journal has named Sophie Raptis to be its Publisher of its new product WSJ. Raptis was International Group Head of News International in London, and will start at WSJ. in August. Also former WSJ. publisher Ellen Asmodeo-Giglio was named VP of sales for Weekend Edition and the Luxury sales group, and Andrea Norlander has been promoted to associate publisher of marketing for WSJ..
