Our Latest Hire: Ernie Sander Joins Us As Managing Editor

We are continuing with our editorial expansion plans and as part of that, very pleased to announce that Ernie Sander has joined our company as Managing Editor, a new position for ContentNext. Ernie joins us from The Wall Street Journal, where he was the deputy editor in the Media and Technology Group. In this role, Ernie co-managed an 15-person reporting group that covers major media and technology companies ranging from Time Warner (NYSE: TWX), NBC and News Corp (NYSE: NWS). to AT&T (NYSE: T) and Comcast (NSDQ: CMCSA). He previously served as a senior editor in The Journal's Weekend Group and, before that, was managing editor of The Asian Wall Street Journal's Personal Journal section.

Ernie will be based in our New York City office, and will manage our growing coterie of journalists spread across various geographies, will be in charge of news flow on our sites, editorial development and hiring, and will help in strategic expansion of our editorial mandate. One of his first tasks: to fill several positions, including openings for two financial journalists in New York, a journalist in Silicon Valley and an editor and journalist in India.

Earlier this week, we welcomed Lauren Rich Fine as our new Research Director; also, this month, Patrick Smith and Tameka Kee joined us as UK Correspondent and West Coast Correspondent, respectively. Sander to take on managing editor role at ContentNext Media

New York - October 16, 2008 - ContentNext Media, the media and information company covering the business of digital media and parent of paidContent.org, announced today the addition of Ernie Sander to the company's growing team of journalists. Ernie will join ContentNext as managing editor.

Ernie has worked at Dow Jones & Company for the past decade in a variety of roles. Most recently, he served as deputy editor in the Media and Technology Group at The Wall Street Journal. In this role, Ernie co-managed an 15-person reporting group that covers major media and technology companies ranging from Time Warner, NBC and News Corp. to AT&T and Comcast. He previously served as a senior editor in The Journal's Weekend Group and, before that, was managing editor of The Asian Wall Street Journal's Personal Journal section.

Prior to his tenure at The Wall Street Journal, he served as an editor and reporter with the Associated Press in California and New York. Ernie has an MA in Journalism from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University and a BA in Administrative Science from Colby College
