O'Donnell: Walters Had Had Enough
Rosie O'Donnell admits that she's "hard to take for some people."
She tells NBC's "Today" show that her latest comments about "The View" were probably the last straw for Barbara Walters, saying "there comes a point where she's just had enough." O'Donnell says Walters is one of the women who paved the way for every other woman on television, and she loves her, regardless of the fact that to Walters, O'Donnell is like "the rowdy teenage daughter that she can't control."
O'Donnell says she e-mailed Walters the day she told reporters that Walters wanted everyone on "The View" to make believe they were getting along when that wasn't the case. She says the e-mail explained to Walters that she never called her a liar, she's sorry "it keeps coming up like this" and she wishes her a Happy Thanksgiving. Walters responded the next day - on "The View," when she said some people who have done the show feel the need "to dump on it, maybe for their own publicity."
O'Donnell's new prime time variety show premieres this Wednesday, but don't expect there to be any controversy. O'Donnell says there will be no arguing, no fighting, "just one hour of fun."
